Network for Children's Rights

Website

The Network for Children's Rights is a non-profit organization dedicated to defending the rights of the child as defined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989). The members of NCR are people who respect human rights, especially those of children, and are willing to mobilize to promote and defend them. Together we are a network of solidarity, which uses the power of knowledge and culture to improve the quality of life of children, to offer them the joy and creativity of team effort and initiative.

VISION AND MISSION

Mission for us is the best interest of the child. Our vision is a world where children will grow up healthy and happy, their opinions will be taken into account and their rights will be respected.

Based on the above, NCR addresses all children regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, religion and language, through specialized pedagogical programs, creative group activities, non-formal education activities, as well as psychosocial and legal support actions. In addition, NCR develops initiatives and interventions aimed at promoting, raising awareness and practical respect for the rights of the child, some of which remain virtually unknown to many even today.

PROGRAMS / ACTIONS

NCR's programs promote solidarity, collaboration, partnership, networking, volunteering, teamwork and socialization, and give children a platform to express themselves. The activities and programs of the Network are the Culture Lab, the Youth Center, the newspaper Migratory Birds and the Web Radio Dandelion, the Wandering Library and the provision of Psychosocial and Legal Support to refugee children and their families.
