Event for the World Day Against Human Trafficking

A21, within the framework of the project “Awareness Actions for Human Trafficking” and the Youth Network of the Child Rights Network, invite you on Saturday, July 30, 2022, to the event for the World Day Against Human Trafficking.

Human trafficking is the illegal trafficking of people, mainly for the purposes of forced labor and sexual exploitation. It is a system in which people are treated as commodities to be sold, bought and forced to work against their will, for little or no pay, under threats, physical and psychological violence. Trafficking happens in most Greek cities and villages today! Today there are more people than ever before who live under conditions of exploitation. 40 million people live in conditions of modern slavery (Global Estimates of Modern Slavery, 2017).

The event will take place at Impact Hub Athens (28 Karaiskaki, Athens).

At 5 p.m. an experiential workshop will be held for people aged 13-24 on informing and activating issues related to the prevention and elimination of human trafficking.

At 6 p.m. the new one-hour Global Broadcast of A21 will be shown. Global Broadcast is an interesting documentary, it is aimed at everyone and aims to help the audience:

-to recognize common methods used by traffickers to control their victims,

– to recognize possible signs of forms of human trafficking that he may encounter in his area,

-report his suspicions to the country’s Human Trafficking Hotline, and

-be part of the solution to end human trafficking everywhere, forever.

We ask all those who wish to attend the events to fill out the registration form at the following link: https://forms.gle/87gLkCMKVAvajay8A

You can be informed about the action through its Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/515900506956827/?active_tab=discussion.
