Visual workshop entitled: "Inclusive Schools" by the Youth Network of the Children's Rights Network

The Youth Network of the Network for the Rights of the Child invites you to an art workshop for children aged 14 to 17 years in collaboration with the group “Ap’ Usia” which will take place on Wednesday, October 18, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the site of the Youth Network (Konstantinopoleos 189, Kolonos, near Metaxourgeio metro station).

A few words about the workshop

This specific workshop aims to explore the theme of inclusion in schools. For this specific workshop we will use new technologies and visual constructions as tools.

School and schoolyards are among the first public places with which a child comes into contact. However, in these areas exclusion phenomena are observed for people with disabilities and special educational abilities. Based on statistics and information about the exclusions created in the school area for the above groups of children, we are building an inclusive school from scratch.

What would the classrooms, the yard, the toilets, the fountains in the courtyard and the rest be like?
What would be the equipment that should be added to make the school a safe and equal environment for all members?

We build a model of the school and add details that would make our school an inclusive place.

WHEN: Wednesday 18 October, 16:00 – 18:00
WHERE: Konstantinoupoleos 189, Kolonos, 10444, Athens (near Metaxourgio metro station).
