The action of the Mobile Library is part of the "Child Protection Case Management for Refugee Children" program co-financed by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The Network’s Μobile Library is a temporary library that can be set up in just a few moments in squares, schools, parks, refugee reception centres or hostels. The Mobile Library gives children the opportunity to visit the wonderful world of books and take part in educational games that will teach them their rights and how to assert them.

The Mobile Library allows children to get acquainted with books, to read, listen to stories, play games and take part in a variety of creative activities whose purpose is not only to entertain and educate but also to raise awareness of various issues, in particular those to do with safeguarding the Rights of the Child.

The Mobile Library also gives their parents the opportunity to participate in special activities that encourage reading to their children and with their children. In addition, the Network’s professional specialists are available to offer parents psychosocial and legal support.

Participation/referral information

The Mobile Library has returned with its lifelong activities, without stopping our online meetings, where our physical presence is not possible.

We visit schools, libraries, cultural sites and participate in festivals throughout Greece, bringing books and educational – creative activities close to children.

Stay tuned to find out where the Wandering Library will be in the near future and contact us to plan the implementation of the action in your school!
