Introduction to Renewable Energy Systems: How they work and how to build them

Στο παρόν event θα συζητήσουμε λεπτομερώς για τις συνιστώσες και εφαρμογές συστημάτων Ανανεώσιμων Πηγών Ενέργειας, όπως τα ηλιακά, τα αιολικά και υδροηλεκτρικά. Θα συζητήσουμε επίσης για πτυχές της λειτουργίας αυτών των συστημάτων εντός και εκτός δικτύου.

Θα αναλύσουμε τις βασικές λειτουργικές αρχές των ηλιακών πάνελ, των μικρών ανεμο- και υδρογεννητριών. Θα γίνει επίσης μία αναλυτική περιγραφή του πως χτίζονται τέτοιες δομές τοπικά.

Το event θα είναι στα αγγλικά με τη δυνατότητα παράλληλης ένας-προς-ένα μετάφρασης στα ελληνικά. Το event διοργανώνεται στο πλαίσιο του Athens Niroo Community, ένα πρόγραμμα της Electra Energy Cooperative. Η δράση αποτελεί μέρος του co-Athens που υλοποιείται από το ευρωπαϊκό πιλοτικό πρόγραμμα του Δήμου Αθηναίων Curing the Limbo. Το πρόγραμμα συγχρηματοδοτείται από το ΕΤΠΑ στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος UIA.

Renewable Energy Systems using the sun, the wind and water will be described in detail during the event in terms of their components and their applications, while aspects of off-grid and on-grid systems will be considered. The principles of operation of solar panels, small wind turbines and small hydro turbines will be discussed, while detailed descriptions on how to build such devices locally will be presented.

The event will be held in English with the potential of one-to-one Greek parallel translation. This event is ran by Electra Cooperative and is part of co-Athens, organized by the European pilot integration program of the City of Athens Curing the Limbo. The program is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Urban Innovative Action Initiative.
