Community Polyclinics in Attica - The Smile of a Child

In the Community Polyclinics in Attica, operated by the Organization “The Smile of the Child”, absolutely free medical services are provided to every child, with an emphasis on those who belong to socially vulnerable vulnerable groups (lack of access to medical services, uninsured, refugees & immigrants, long-term unemployed parents, single-parent families, Roma, etc.)

In the Social Polyclinics, free medical and dental examinations are provided to children, upon authorization by the Medical and Dental Association of Athens.

The Polyclinics operate:

1. In the center of Athens, Omirou 6, with a well-equipped pediatric, ophthalmology and ENT clinic
2. In Agia Paraskevi, Garittou 80, with a well-equipped pediatric, ophthalmology, ENT clinic, cardiology and dental clinic.

The services provided are:

• Pediatric examination
• Eye examination
• Otorhinolaryngological examination
• Dental examination
• Cardiac examination etc.

Polyclinics are staffed by the Organization’s human resources as well as volunteer doctors and nurses, a Social Worker and interpreters.
