The Empowerment Service of Positive Voice provides information on everything that may concern a person living with HIV: medicines, hospitals, doctors, insurance coverage, pension, Disability Certification Centres (CDC) and related procedures, the granting of benefits and other welfare policies (such as public transport cards and access to university) and new data or new legislative initiatives that affect the lives of people living with HIV. At the same time, incidents of discrimination are recorded in order to use them to claim rights, and referrals are made to other services and other bodies when necessary.
This service operates on a peer basis, i.e. offered by people living with HIV, to ensure that shared lived experience ensures the highest possible quality of services.
Moreover, we provide closed peer-support group sessions (Positive Point) and free-of-charge short-term psychosocial support sessions, if needed.
To contact the Empowerment Service, you can call 210 32 34 492 (Monday to Friday 10.00 – 14.00) or email [email protected].
