As part of the new Theater for Peace Program, UNICEF in collaboration with Mikro Ethniko, invite young refugees aged 13-20 from Ukraine and other war zone countries to participate in theater workshops in which Greek teenagers will also participate, with the ultimate goal of gathering material for the creation of a show.
The new play will be presented in a series of performances at the REX theater in the period October – December 2023, with the aim of raising awareness among audiences of all ages about the effects of war on the lives of people and especially young people, the transcendent power for life but and the need for a peaceful coexistence in an ever-changing world.
The workshops will be coordinated by Sofia Vgenopoulos, who is in charge of the program and of the Little National Theatre, and a group of professional theater teachers and actors from the National Theatre.
The workshops will take place every Monday 16:00 – 19:00 and Friday 16:00 – 19:00 at the premises of the National Theatre.
