It is a non-formal education program aimed at minors between the ages of 6 and 18 who live in temporary shelters, unaccompanied minors’ facilities and apartments, but is also open to all children in the neighborhood.

The program provides remedial teaching, in the form of evening classes, with an emphasis on learning Greek, mathematics and foreign languages ​​as well as studying at school, creating a safe integration framework for refugee and immigrant children.

The METAdrasis juvenile education program is aimed at children aged 4-18 with refugee and/or migrant background and is implemented in Athens, Thessaloniki, Lesvos, Chios but and online for students living in other areas.

Depending on the point, the following subjects are offered:

  • Greek (and online)
  • Mathematics
  • English (and online)
  • German (and online)
  • French
  • Chess
  • Remedial Teaching (during the school year)
  • Preparation for Panhellenic
  • Preparation for TOEIC exams

Classes for children aged 6-18 are conducted by METAdrasi’s experienced educational staff every day, 16:00-20:00, at METAdrasi’s headquarters and/or in schools in Athens.

At the same time, fast-paced Greek, English and German courses are provided for teenagers from 16 to 18 years old, between 14:00-20:00, at the offices of METAdrasis. During this time and due to covid-19, all courses are conducted online.

In addition, by promoting experiential learning, METAdrasis organizes educational trips and activities at regular intervals inside and outside the educational centers.
