Description

Generation 2.0 RED provides free career counselling services mostly to second generation individuals, immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees.

The core of this service is the individual career counselling, focusing on the unique traits, strengths, concerns and aspirations of each person. The writing or improvement of a Curriculum Vitae, the job search techniques and the preparation for a job interview are common topics covered during the sessions.

On the other hand, mediation with employers, development of telephone skills and the provision of information on labor rights, the recruitment procedure, the educational programs and vocational training are also a very important part of the sessions.

Apart from the individual career counselling sessions, the service expands to the internet as well, with the weekly Job Adverts, which inform and share job vacancies from the most popular websites in Greece and abroad. In addition to this, a great number of job search websites and humanitarian organisations’ careers pages are gathered at the Job Search Resources & Volunteering Opportunities, while the Free Educational Programs will keep you up to date with non-formal education offered by NGOs in Athens.

Diversity in the Workplace is another significant action that Generation 2.0 promotes, reaching out to the private sector and organizations, while also raising awareness and mobilizing the public. This action aims to create an expanding network of businesses and organizations promoting diversity in the workplace and benefiting from its advantages.

Last but not least, Generation 2.0 organises and carries out employability workshops and seminars, aiming to the improvement of employability, the soft and hard skills of individuals, thus facilitating access to the Greek labor market for people with different cultural backgrounds.
