Event: Tackling Hate Speech in our Everyday Life

KMOP invites you to the new informative event it is organizing on the topic of “Tackling hate speech in our everyday life“, on Friday 29 March 2024, 18:00-20:00, at Impact Hub Athens (Karaiskaki 28, Athens).

The event will focus on understanding and addressing the challenges that arise from hate speech, examining how it affects the psychology of those who experience it.

Researchers, representatives of civil society organizations and journalists will participate in the discussion, giving their own perspective on the issue.

In this context, the discussion will focus on:

• relevant case studies / cases of hate speech and in the way they are portrayed in the media
• a special reference to hate speech in the Media, the internet and Social Networking Media and a discussion about the causes as well as the role of citizens, when they are confronted with incidents of hate speech
• the responsibility and role of journalism in the management of similar incidents

Participation in the event is free. Participating people will receive certificates of attendance.
