Event: "Sports at the service of society"

An event with the theme “Sports at the service of society” is organized by the KMOP and the Municipality of Chalandri on Thursday, May 11, at 18.30 – 20.30, where the highlighting of the role of sports as a tool for social integration and empowerment of young people will be discussed. The event will take place in the event hall of the Municipality of Chalandri (Stratarhou Alexandrou Papagou 7, Chalandri, 152 34/ 2nd floor).

What will be discussed:

• The importance of promoting sustainable and inclusive sports events and activities to increase the active involvement and participation of young people in EU affairs.
• Educational tools for sports professionals
• Good practices in sport for youth empowerment
• Ways to fight racism in football, especially at academy and amateur football level

In this context, the European initiatives Active to support professionals in the field of sports and Tackle Racism to combat racism and discrimination in football, which are implemented in Greece by KMOP, will be presented.
