Description

The transition into adulthood can be particularly challenging for refugee and migrant young people, in particular unaccompanied minors. Preparing for such a transition in advance – through supporting educational achievement and providing coaching and mentoring – can be particularly effective.

ACTIVE plans to support minors and young adults with the integration process and to empower them for the achievement of their educational and career targets.

The action includes:

1. Identification and recording of the needs, desires and skills through structured questionnaires and sessions. Development of an individual plan for every beneficiary including plan(s) for education, training, apprenticeship, work etc.

2. Seminars and activities on career counseling, job search techniques etc.

3. Activities and workshops on personal development, independent living, active participation in the community and empowerment of social skills.

4. Lessons in Greek and English language and ICT use placing emphasis on developing social skills and search for education and employment opportunities.
