Free intercultural activities for children and teenagers at the Migrant Integration Center of the City of Athens

The Migrant Integration Center of the City of Athens implements free intercultural activities emphasizing on the organization of theatrical and other artistic activities aimed at children and youth of refugee origin, citizens from third countries and Greeks. The aim of the workshops is to bring different population groups in contact and to familiarize and experiment with the theater in a safe environment of expression, cooperation and mutual support. The first period of applications will last until Tuesday 17/4/2019.

For applications you can go to the Migrant Integration Center (Mezonos 45, 3rd floor), every Tuesday from 14:00 – 19:00 end every Wednesday from 14:00 – 19:00.

Creative drama workshops are designed in five-week circles with the possibility of extension and include two-hour weekly meetings. They are addressed to children and teenagers with basic knowledge of Greek or English.

More specifically, the workshops are the following:
 
1. for children aged 6 to 12 years of refugee origin, native and third-country nationals, every Tuesday at 3-5pm.

2. for adolescents aged 12 to 18 years of refugee origin, native and third-country nationals, every Tuesday at 5.15-7pm.

The City of Athens conducts creative drama workshops as a pedagogical means of strengthening and integrating foreign children, teenagers and young people into Greek society. Through creative drama and improvisation, participants will be able to express themselves, to develop their creativity and to enhance self-esteem and to foster collaboration and teamwork.
 
The activities of the Migrant Integration Center are implemented with the co-funding of the European Social Fund- National Strategic Development Framework (NSDF) 2014-2020.
