The Athens Municipality Coordination Center for Migrants and Refugees (ACCMR) is cited in the new OECD report as a promising example of an innovative coordination mechanism at the local level to promote integration.
The report, based on statistical and qualitative data through research in 72 cities, highlights the role of local government in managing the refugee issue and describes specifically what is needed to formulate an effective integration approach at the local level.
