Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the AMKE “Vorysthenis” and the Ukrainian Woman in Greece Association have been doing everything possible to offer humanitarian aid both to Ukraine and to the refugees hosted in Greece.
Every day at our humanitarian aid collection center in Vari we serve over 30 people. We organize charity events to support Ukrainian refugees living in Athens. We organize seminars and courses in Greek and English for the shortest and smoothest integration of Ukrainians into Greek society.
We are starting our new project “Holidays and rehabilitation of children of defenders of Ukraine in Greece”. Thanks to the initiative of the Association Ukrainian Woman in Greece and AMKE “Borysthenes” Vari Ukrainian Aid Center and the offer of the Ioanian Beach hotel located in the area of Lakopetra Achaia, Greece (https://www.ionianbeach.gr), there is an offer for 45 children aged 8 to 12 years and 5 companions – stay at the hotel for 10 nights (September 1 to 10) 26 euros (accommodation and board) per person. We believe that these holidays are necessary and will help a lot in the restoration and in dealing with the problems caused by the war. 45 children from Ukraine can become members of the team and come to Greece.
We would be very grateful if you would support our project and cover a part of the costs to make this excursion possible. We have already collected 8000 euros in the charity events of our Association, and thanks to the donations from the volunteers, however, our effort needs
support from other sources as well. The required amount is 12,000 euros. Your help is appreciated, it’s for a good cause.
