Description

The Social Service takes into account the needs and co-ordinates families’ objectives with at least one child up to the age of 12.

  • Provides counseling on integration, personal development, and rights protection.
  • Facilitates access to services provided by other organizations.
  • If necessary, accompaniment services to public services. In addition, home visits are available when required.
  • Supports beneficiaries to issue legalization documents, requests for housing services, child and adult education.
  • Where interpretation is necessary, the social workers ensure cooperation with the interpreting agent of One Child- One World and other organizations.

Participation/referral information

Access to the Social Service of “A Child, One World” is open to everybody. Appointments are being arranged after the interested person has filled in the register form provided on a first visit at the offices of the organization (10 Rethymnou, Athens). Moreover, appointments can be requested by phone (210 8838512). “One Child, One World” receives referrals from other bodies. In case of referrals from other bodies, the cooperation of the professionals of the referring body is highly valued. Access to the Social Service of referral cases is the same as described above (appointment, via telephone or in person).
