FairyArt - Psychosocial program for children 7 to 11 years old

FairyArt is a new activity of the Multifunctional Centre for Refugees in Athens that aims in the psychosocial support of children aged 7 to 11 years old.

Each week, a different book or fairytale is selected and after reading it altogether, different activities take place inspired by the story (such as crafts, role playing, discussion, painting). The aim is to enhance the psychosocial wellbeing of the children.

Throughout the meetings the participants can;

• spend time in a cozy environment that makes them feel happy and safe
• practice their Greek language skills
• feel good about themselves and confident about their skills
• socialize
• cultivate their creative and critical abilities
• learn to trust others and feel comfortable to share their feelings and opinion

The activity takes place every Friday, 17.00-18.00, at the MFC Athens.
