Babel’s interdisciplinary group, in collaboration with volunteers and language facilitators, provide wide-ranging services for the beneficiaries, including:
Interpretation is available for beneficiaries who do not speak Greek; specially trained linguistic facilitators are participating in the sessions. Babel’s professionals are capable of leading sessions in English, French, Arabic, Italian and Spanish.
From October 1, 2023 and for one year, these services will be provided with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), as the action was included in the SNF-Release Athens donation program, within the framework of the International Health Initiative (IHI) of the SNF .
In addition to the provision of specialized services, the SNF’s support extends to covering costs for carrying out publicity and awareness campaigns for persons in key positions, training professionals in issues of locating and mobilizing survivors, and supervising Babel staff.
