AntetokounBros Academy

Description

AntetokounBros Academy, is the basketball and training project created by Giannis, Thanasis, Costas and Alex Antetokounbo.

The Academy provides free admissions to boys and girls, aged 12-16, belonging to vulnerable social groups, from different neighborhoods, countries and social backgrounds. Students will play and learn how to release and cultivate their powers.

Head Coach of AntetokounBros Academy is Evina Maltsi. The international athlete, who has written history in women’s basketball, accepted the challenge and is ready to pass on her ethos and knowledge.

The Academy’s program includes weekly basketball training by the Eurohoops Organization. It takes place in the two stadiums renovated by Nike in the areas of Ellinorossi and Lamprini, with the support of the Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA).

The program is not limited to the four lines of the field. Experiential workshops, theoretical analyzes of the game by the Eurohoops coaching team and inspirational speeches, with renowned professionals from various fields of action and great athletes, inspire participants and look forward to developing their skills and empowerment to achieve their dreams.

The Academy concludes with a graduation and awards ceremony. The best of the athletes will have the opportunity to claim two annual training scholarships at Eurohoops, while other entrants will be selected to attend summer courses in England and one of the best performing Academy graduates will receive the One of the University Scholarship. a Kind from the Onassis Foundation.

Young apprentices will also have unique prospects. Two of them will be selected to participate in further training, one will win a job at Eurohoops and one will attend a basketball training camp abroad with the support of the Onassis Foundation.

Both for the training part and for the teacher, the Academy has taken all the necessary measures and implements the health protocols and the instructions of EODY and GGA for the restriction of Covid-19.
