Open Social Net – Right to Quality – Pilot Program for the distribution of solidarity food packages
In the framework of the implementation of the action “Social Protection Network of Athens – Open Social Net”, which is co-financed by the E.P. “ATTICA 2014-2020” and the European Social Fund (OPS code 5074888), E.A.T.A. S.A. invites citizens with a certified disability rate of at least 67%, regardless of type (motor, sensory, mental, intellectual or other) and age, living in the Municipality of Athens, to submit an application to participate in the “Pilot Program for the distribution of solidarity food packages to citizens of the Municipality of Athens with accessibility difficulties” which concerns the distribution of packaged products of high nutritional value from cooperative producers who apply the appropriate methods of organic agriculture and animal husbandry.
The main objective of the action is to alleviate the problem of food insecurity and to offer alternative options in terms of strengthening the existing diet (food fortification), sources of energy and nutrients (selective nutrition), as well as promoting new healthy eating habits when the conventional one does not adequately cover the relevant needs of people with disabilities. Priority will be given to applicants who are in a difficult financial situation.

Applications for participation can be submitted by interested parties until Friday, August 19, 2022 at 17.00.
