“WELCOME”: Career week in Hospitality by the ACCMR Livelihoods Committee

The career week “WELCOME”, which is organised at the initiative of the Employability & Livelihoods Committee of the City of Athens Coordination Center for Migrant & Refugee issues (ACCMR), the participation of its member – organisations and the support of IOM under HELIOS program.

The aim of the initiative is to create a channel of communication between the private sector and candidates from a migrant or refugee background and enhance their equal access to the labour market, but without excluding the participation of the local population.

More specifically, through the job interviews in Athens and Thessaloniki, the participating companies will have the opportunity to meet with potential employees with expertise in different fields and exploring further cooperation.

In addition, within the framework of the career week, a digital conference will be held in Athens with the participation of key organisations aimed at offering essential information about the employment prospects in the field of Hospitality.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

The career week ‘’WELCOME’’ consists of three distinct but connected sections.  More specifically:

  • Monday, February 14, 2022: Career Day in Hospitality, which is going to be held in Athens at Serafio of City of Athens ((Echelidon 19 & Pireos 144). Foreseen duration of the action (indicative): 10:00 -18:00.
  • Tuesday, February 15, 2022: Online Conference on the ‘’Employment Prospects in the field of Hospitality’’, which is going to be hosted at Serafio of City of Athens and will be held online. Foreseen duration of the action (indicative): 10:00 -18:00.
  • Thursday, February 18, 2022: Career Day in Hospitality, which is going to be held in The venue is to be confirmed. Foreseen duration of the action (indicative): 10:00 -18:00.

About the organisation

The part of the Career Week in Hospitality that will take place in Athens is an initiative of the Employability & Livelihoods Committee of the Athens Coordination Center for Migrant & Refugee issues (ACCMR) and its member – organisations. The event is implemented with the support of the International Organization for Migration under the HELIOS program. The part of the Hospitality Career Week to be held in Thessaloniki is an initiative of the International Organization for Migration under the HELIOS program, which is funded by the co-financed part of the Public Investment Program of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum.

About ACCMR

Athens Coordination Center for Migrant & Refugee issues (ACCMR) is the first coordination hub at local level in Greece, bringing the Municipality of Athens closer to civil society, international organisations and the central administration with the aim of developing innovative tools and initiatives to address challenges related to social inclusion and cohesion.
