Description

Apostoli, a non- profit organization, will start operating the ”Lela Karagiannis Children’ s Multi- Center” in the history home of Greek heroine Lela Karagiannis, located close to America  Square Area. The range will provide a range of free educational and experiential workshops and activities for children aged 6 to 12, after school hours, in a safe and enjoyable space, aiming:

  • to expand children’ s knowledge through play, music, theater, painting, discussion
  • to make creative use of children’ s free time
  • to offer the appropriate stimuli to children to explore the world around them, coexist and interact with others
  • to motivate children express themselves and have fun
  • to support children in developing important life skills
  • to support parents and family

The educational program of the Center has been designed based on the children’ s capabilities, it offers a beautiful ”routine”, which will contribute to the development of each child’ s personality. Thus, the workshops are designed considering pedagogical, experiential and and interactive dimensions, that will give children the opportunity to develop their imagination, strengthen their confidence, participate and collaborate. In details, the schedule and activities of the Center include artistic workshops, robotics emotional education, focusing on the following topics:

  • grow empathy and mutual respect, in order to inform and educate against all forms of discrimination and bullying
  • promote diversity, inclusion and collaboration
  • grow respect for the environment
  • get familiar with sustainable living and highlight the benefits of healthy eating and exercise.

Parent’ s counseling programs will also be provided in the Center.

Participation/referral information

The participate in the programs, completing a registration application is needed. The applications are completed at the Multi- Center (Lelas Karagiannis 1, America Square Area), from 13:30 to 19:30. All programs and activities are free of charge.
