Description

The Online Clinic was designed for vulnerable cases that are out of reach to us from a geographical point of view, and in critical need for mental health support. Additionally, we provide this service for refugees who were previously treated by us and are now relocated to other camps, centres and countries, and are in need of continuous MHPSS support.

Aim: Through our clinic, we are able to reach people who are suffering and do not have access to mental health support, whether it is due to the lack of mental health professionals in the field, language barriers, personal reasons, or geopolitical restrictions

Target/Beneficiaries: Arabic speaking refugees in Greece who are in contact with an NGO framework and/or community centre on the field.

Background:

Our Online Clinic, launched in 2018, is a network of mental health professionals, mainly Arabic speaking, who provide online support to displaced populations through the web (Tele-Therapy). The program was launched because of the lack of mental health support on the ground and because of our belief that mental health support needs to be on the forefront of humanitarian crises and any delay in treatment will cause harm.

Participation/referral information

Only referrals from NGOs and community centers that are familiar with the individual will be accepted and will take full responsibility for the logistical and legal aspects of the treatment. Humanity Crew will be responsible for the treatment. Self-referrals will not be accepted for legal or professional reasons.

The referral must be completed through our online referral form.
