Entrepreneurship in the Skills Workshops, step by step!

Company Junior is an innovative training program for entrepreneurship. It is aimed at ages 11-15 (5th grade to 3rd high school) and is offered free of charge. It is part of the Skills Workshops of the IEP and specifically the Thematic Axis: Create and Innovate – Creative Thinking and Initiative. However, it can also be implemented independently of them. The Company Junior program is implemented with the funding of the Ioannis S. Latsis Foundation.

During the 2021-22 school year, 1,600 students from primary and secondary schools in the country and Greek schools abroad participated in the program, developing creative business ideas.

The program is developed around a group experiential activity, during which the students create the draft of a “learning virtual business”. The purpose of the program is to develop basic knowledge, abilities, skills and entrepreneurship attitudes, so that students realize their social responsibility as future professionals with respect for the common good and the environment.

In particular, within the framework of the program, the following learning objectives are pursued:

  • Teamwork and Cooperation
  • Time management
  • Planning and Programming
  • Taking initiative and taking responsibility
  • Problem solving
  • Commitment
