Since April 2020, SYNYPARXIS has undertaken the creation and operation of accommodation structures for unaccompanied minor refugees and immigrants in Attica and Thessaloniki with funding from the Migration Asylum and Integration Fund and national resources.
Housed in appropriate spaces that ensure the safety and comfort of children, the structures are staffed with over 100 workers of various specialties who provide a wide range of services to minor guests.
The services concern both the coverage of the basic needs of minors (housing, feeding, legal support, health, education) as well as psychosocial support and preparation for autonomy and social integration. The main directions of the services provided refer to the safety and protection of minors, the development of the individual’s personality, the maturation so that they are able to consciously exercise their rights and finally, their emancipation in a way that is mutually beneficial for them as well as the host society.
In the current phase, 5 structures with a total capacity of 200 minors are operating.
