The e-NABLE Community is an amazing group of individuals from all over the world who are using their 3D printers, their designing skills and their spare time, to create free 3D printed hands and arms for those in need of an upper limb assistive device. All the e-NABLE devices are free of charge for the final recipient. All the costs are covered by the maker who has the responsibility to build, assemble and give the device to the recipient.
The Greek chapter of e-Nable community is welcoming the new makers and the families that need our support. We use 3D printing technology and our designing skills, so we can build and assembly prosthetic hands. These hands are build at a lower cost and we can give them for free to any individual in need.
These devices can adapt to anyone that has a functional wrist that can bend at least 30 degrees in either direction as well as most or all of their palm or functional elbow that can bend easily and who have partial to most of their forearm. If the recipient is a child e–Nable Greece is taking the responsibility to replace the device after 12-18 months, depending on the kids growth.
We meet great response to our work at the Refugees Camps, where unfortunately many people, children or adults, come from war zones and it's likely to face an amputation. e-Nable Greece wants to inform refugees and immigrants about our work and the help that we can provide and we will be more than happy to create a prosthetic device for any individual who may need it.
