The European Integration Pilot Program Curing the Limbo aims to create a dynamic and innovative integration model through which refugees are activated, attend classes in Greek, English, classes on creative expression and new technologies, gain access to affordable housing and attend professional consulting sessions. Thus, they become part of the city, connect with active citizen groups and participate in activities in the neighborhoods of Athens. So together, refugees and the city get out of the state of inactivity, become active, cooperate and coexist.
Curing the Limbo (2018-2021) is a European pilot project of the Municipality of Athens implemented with strategic cooperation:
of the University of Athens, the International Non-Governmental Organizations International Rescue Committee and Catholic Relief Services, and the Athens Development and Tourism Promotion Company, and is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the UIA Initiative.
