LATRA is an award-winning, innovation-led agency specializing in the cross-over between the Humanitarian Sector, the Cultural & Creative Industries, and Digital Education. LATRA is a field ambassador for the implementation of digital innovation on the humanitarian sector and an advocate for equal opportunities and accessibility in entrepreneurial ecosystems by refugee and migrant communities.

LATRA promotes cultural integration and employability regardless of race, religion or gender, and inspires young refugees in Greece and urban centers across Europe to systematically approach new technologies and use them in entrepreneurial plans that address complex European challenges.

LATRA aims with its projects, products and services to contribute to the equitable development of vulnerable and marginalized social groups with the purpose of empowering them to become tomorrow’s change-making entrepreneurs. LATRA facilitates access to 21st century skills, assists in the creation of digital & innovative enterprises and promotes connectivity and digital inclusion as accelerators of European equality.

LATRA has established a European-wide consortium of governments, social organizations, knowledge institutions and financiers with the aim to create an on-the-field incubator that fosters innovation, allows for acceleration in social entrepreneurship, empowers economic growth, and develops all-inclusive hands-on learning experiences that assist in integration.

In 2017, LATRA won the prestigious Be.Creative Global Competition. The agency has been awarded two Internationalization Grants from the Creative Industries Fund in the Netherlands (2016 & 2017), a Culture & Art Program by the Nordic Council of Ministers in Finland (2017), a Start-Up grant by Stimuleringsfonds (2017), and has been short-listed in ARUP’s Global Innovation Challenge 2017 Edition.

The agency is also implementing a Research & Innovation Horizon 2020 program dedicated to STEM education in the humanitarian sector. For his innovative work on the humanitarian field of Lesbos, LATRA has been honored by EU Commissioner for Culture, Education, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsics. LATRA is a member of the global UNICEF Design Pool, and humanitarian projects have been produced in Greece, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, South Africa & Qatar.
