DRC Greece

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an international non-government organization with headquarters in Denmark, working in the countries and regions most affected by conflicts and where displaced people are located. Our objective is to protect people fleeing war and to ensure long-term solutions. DRC initiated its activities in Greece in November 2015 due to the unprecedented influx of displaced populations in need of international protection. With sub-offices in Lesvos, Athens, Larissa and Thessaloniki, DRC currently implements a broad range of activities including Site Management Support in close collaboration with the Greek Ministry of Migration Policy, legal aid, protection monitoring, identification and referrals of extremely vulnerable individuals, overall access to services at both in and out of sites through cultural mediation and informal education activities.
