See here for changes in the City of Athens service program as part of its public health protection measures against coronavirus.

The Accommodation and Services Scheme for Asylum Seekers is being implemented through the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (ADDMA) in cooperation with UNHCR and is funded by the European Commission's department for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), in the framework of the ESTIA program.

There are about 4,050 beneficiaries from around the world (Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Congo, etc.). About 1,850 people have been relocated to various European countries (Germany, France, Great Britain ...) and today the program covers the needs of approximately 1,650 beneficiaries, hosted in 320 leased apartments.

The program provides:

- Accommodation services in equipped apartments of the City of Athens and neighboring municipalities.
- A specific amount of money through UNHCR debit cards to meet the basic needs of each family.
- Psychosocial support provided by the program's project team consisting of social scientists, interpreters, apartment managers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and nurses.
