OPEN CALL // PARTICIPATORY THEATRE WORKSHOPS

The International Project Intimate Bridges attempts to create genuine connections and question stereotypical notions and misunderstandings between communities of immigrants and refugees and local communities through creative workshops aiming to eliminate racism, intolerance and xenophobia and to encourage energetic social participation within a safe environment. The material of these workshops will become the dramaturgical core of a performance that will take place in Athens in November 2020.

Our open call is addressed to refugees, immigrants, artists, and everyone interested to participate in the immersive theatre Workshops of Co-creation. We invite you to become fellow investigators of sounds, images, testimonies and personal accounts within an intimate space for exchanges, memory transfer and creativity, at the transit place where people and their stories intersect, tracing incomplete maps of territories marked by loss, daily struggles and hope.

The workshops of Co-creation entitled “How a place becomes a person” will take place every Saturday 11:00-14:00 from 08.02 until 25.04.2020 at ARSIS (38 Aristotelous str., Metro station Victoria).

No prior theatre experience is required.
